Astrology

I need to start following these guidelines. I am a capricorn and I have had experiences with a couple of the signs they talk about below and everything it says is 100% TRUE! It's so weird!

Out of the twelve Zodiac signs, Capricorn is most compatible with Taurus, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces, and is least compatible with Gemini, Aries, Cancer, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius. We will just focus on the signs that Capricorn is most compatible with.
Taurus is one of the most ideal partners for Capricorn. They both love the earth and work perfectly together. Their relationship will be stable and promote longevity. They both value tangible achievement, practicality and stability, and want material possessions to determine their skill and worth. Both value money and security and love their home. They place high priority in things, people and situations that are meant to last a long time. Also, their views about life and the world are very compatible. Capricorn has strength of purpose, which Taurus admires, and Taurus has affectionate stability that Capricorn loves. They both are both passionate and earthy by nature, and Taurus can see through Capricorn’s reservations to his/her romanticism. Taurus is devoted and Capricorn is loyal, so neither have a problem with jealousy. Together they are indivisible.

Virgo and Capricorn also make a great pair. They have a mutual intellectual respect that will be a constant in times of disagreement. They have natural sympathy for each other’s plans and strategies, common objectives, and the same values. Since Capricorn is the more career-oriented public figure and Virgo is the workaholic and perfectionist, they can achieve great things when working together. Both enjoy having two or three close friends rather than many acquaintances and take pride in their home.
Scorpio and Capricorn share a very deep relationship. Capricorn is great at initiating things and consolidating, and has a desire to be a “ruler” type. Scorpio has the staying power and determination to see Capricorn’s ideas come to fruition. Also, Scorpio’s interests in status and power mesh well with Capricorn’s practical values. Scorpio has a very powerful and open sensuality that caters to Capricorns passion that lie beneath the surface. Scorpio’s imagination in the bedroom teams with Capricorn’s stamina, producing a wonderful love life. Even though Scorpio is possessive by nature, Capricorn sees this as the security that he/she needs. They work very well together in that Capricorn is very organized and Scorpio is levelheaded. Both value accomplishment and discipline, and are both strong-willed. Therefore, their arguments will be great, but so will their making up.

Capricorn paired with another Capricorn can make interesting, but most of the time healthy matches. Since both share the same strengths and weaknesses, one partner will always have patience to the other’s logical and methodical ways. They will understand, and share, each other’s values and morals with a natural clarity that is valuable in many ways. Since Capricorns approve of people that are more like them, they share a mutual regard and respect for each other. Both work hard and love to save money. They’re great as partners, but usually aren’t that much fun.

Capricorn and Pisces collaborate well together and share much attraction. Both are very serious, reclusive and quiet. They support each other’s qualities, making them strong in character, despite Capricorn’s vulnerability and fear of inadequacy and Pisces’s helplessness and tendency to collapse under stress. Capricorn supplies stability that Pisces needs in order to counterbalance his/her day dreaminess. Pisces admires Capricorn for this, and Capricorn loves to be admired. Capricorn is definitely the head of the household, but Pisces willingly goes along with his/her role. Pisces also has a taste for the wilder things in life and can sometimes influence Capricorn to be less conventional in life. Capricorn’s strong sense of loyalty plus Pisces’s open affections equals a match made in heaven where each partner feels protected and safe.

Coachella 2010

Coachella was AMAZING this year. I was only going to go one day but came up on a FREE 3-day pass. So, I drove there friday (last min), but was stoked to be able to see Jay-Z!

Got there friday, met up with friends.
Saw:
Grizzly Bear, Passion Pit & Jay-Z

Saturday was amazing.
Saw:
Beach House
Dirty Projectors
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
MGMT

We actually got backstage for MGMT. It was really cool...such a different prospective. It was crazy how many celebrities were back there. Paris Hilton, Tommy Lee, Hayden Panitiere, Jay-Z & Beyonce, Tony Kanal, Beck... so many!

Breathless

A friend told me about this movie and I really liked it a lot. I always take still shots of the old films I watch, so here are the ones from "Breathless" directed by Jean Luc Godard

Las Vegas

"Single Spring Break 2010 Tour: Sara & Becca - Vegas Edition!"

So, I didn't really have any plans for Spring Break so I decided to go to Vegas kind of last min. I have family there that I can stay with whenever. So, I was getting ready to go and my friend Sara (who is newly single) calls me and says she wants to get out of town, so I say "Vegas, lets go!" So, we did just that. Here is what we did:

*we didn't actually take too many pics because we were having too much fun.

- Wednesday, March 31st -
Have a good drive/talk on the way to Vegas...about life.
Stop at State Line to see my friend Matt who is there with his buddies for a golf tournament.
Sara & I take turns pulling matchbooks out of a bag to determine who is paired with who for the tourny.

Matt: "So what are you going to Vegas for?"
Sara: "REVENGE!"

LOL. Sara is too funny!

We get to Vegas and go to sleep. We got there pretty late.

- Thursday, April 1st -
Wake up and go to lay out at the pool @ the Rio.

We go back to nap/get ready/hang out with my Uncle Ricky
then meet up with them later that night at The Orleans.
There were TONS of rockabilly people there for this classic car show.

Sara: "All these cherries are making me dizzy!" LOL

Met this dude and had a 30 min. conversation with him about Tupac.
Me, Sara & Ryan go to VooDoo (club at the Rio) and DANCE! and by dance I mean GET DOWN!
I hadn't danced like that is SO LONG! i love dancing!
Sara & I walk Ryan to his room
Sara asks if she can order LOBSTER and this is how that went...

Pretty funny.

- Friday April 2nd -
Wake up and go see my brother & sister.
We drink tazo tea, eat hot pockets and watch tv/talk.
Sara & I lay out at the Rio again.
Go back, get ready & head to MGM to meet up with...everyone.
We all hung out in the room for awhile, took pics then went out.

Some beautiful girls (inside & out)!

Had an awesome night. Ended up going to my brother & sisters. I love them to death.

- Saturday, April 3rd -
I wake up and want to go home.
Sara convinces me to stay and I'm GLAD she did!
Sara, Courtney and I go to Wet Republic at the MGM
It's a huge pool party...kind of like that rehab place at Hard Rock
It was honestly one of the best times of my life. We had SO MUCH FUN!

Got invited up to the VIP area. Free food. Free Drinks. Awesome people!
Get back to the room and my friend Matt informs me CURSIVE is playing in Vegas that night @ House of Blues.
"Of course I'm bout it!"

SERIOUSLY made my night.
After that, Me, Sara, Courtney & Jen hit the town.
My feet were killing me so Jen & I went back to the room.
I ordered a delicious burger (that I paid for - not charged to the room)
Went to sleep pretty early. Everyone else got home suuuper late in the AM.

- Sunday, April 3rd -
Leave the room at 7:30AM and head home.
The drive seemed SO long!

Such a great trip overall. Writing this just now helped me re-live everything. Made me happy.
I love my friends and I'm especially happy because I got to spend time with my uncle!

Tuesday 30th

On a lighter note, today was very productive for me. Did a LOT of cleaning around the house, worked on my resume (got a lot of it done), gave my dog a bath, ate chipotle!, dyed my hair RED...now I'm designing a logo for a friends business. Look how cute my baby Brody is. He sat with me (on my clean sheets) while I did my resume. I love him so much!

My road trip started on Thursday around 12 noonish. It was suuuch a beautiful day for a drive! I was so happy to not have school that day and to be going to see my family. I have the best time on road trips with myself! I play my music so loud & sing at the top of my lungs. I have videos to prove it.

Such a beautiful day and place to go for a run...and not a bad place to take a break!

Road trip

i went on a road trip this past weekend and it was EXACTLY what i needed. it gave me so much time to think. i feel like i was blinded for awhile but i can finally see things so clearly & for what they are. i have this "switch" in my head that turns feelings on or off. if someone hurts me...it will eventually turn off. it's actually kind of cool. once i turn that switch off, that person no longer has the power to hurt me anymore. i really think i got kinda lucky. i don't think a lot of people are able to turn feelings on and off like that, but somehow... i can.

i'm so sick of people treating me bad. i don't deserve it. so, i'm filtering out the bad...making room for the good. had a big talk about my future and i have some big things in store. i can't really say much right now but i'm so excited.

Realizations & The Future

Since I've been working out, eating healthier and just taking better care of myself overall...I have come to really LIKE myself and CARE about myself. I've also come to a LOT of realizations! I'm just not going to give so much of myself to people who are unappreciative anymore. I'm tired of people hurting me and I'm not going to allow it anymore. I am happy and very excited for my future. My future is going to be filled with people I love and people who love & want to be with ME...because I have SO much to offer whether it be to a friend or boyfriend. As for the people I have loved and given my friendship & companionship to who just didn't appreciate it/what they had...it's their loss. It really is. My grad check came in the mail today. This is all becoming so REAL. I'm so happy & PROUD of myself. I am an amazing woman and I have been through a LOT and overcame a lot...and I've worked SO HARD. I deserve to be happy...and I am.

To everyone I've loved and lost along the way...
I wish you the very best.

"May the bridges you burn...light your way."

Prom?

Worked sucked tonight - as always, until... A woman came in with a cake and asked me if I could help her. I said "sure, what do you need?" she said, "My son is eating here with a girl and he wants to ask her to prom. Can you find them and give this cake to her?" The cake read "Prom?" and had pictures of him and her on the cake. SO SWEET!

So, of course I agreed to do it. Once we spotted where they were sitting, I walked over to their table and said "I have something for you" and set the cake right in front of the girl. Her face was PRICELESS! It was so awesome! She was so suprised and happy. It really made my night.

It Happened One Night

I just got done watching "It happened one night"
- A 1934 American comedy film directed by Frank Capra, in which a pampered socialite (Claudette Colbert) tries to get out from under her father's thumb, and falls in love with a roguish reporter (Clark Gable). The plot was based on the story Night Bus by Samuel Hopkins Adams, which provided the shooting title. It Happened One Night was one of the last film romantic comedies created before the MPAA began enforcing the 1930 production code in 1934. In spite of its title the movie takes place over several nights and none is particularly key to the plot.

The film was the first to win all five major Academy Awards (Best Picture, Director, Actor, Actress, and Screenplay), a feat that would not be matched until One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) and later by The Silence of the Lambs (1991). In 1993, It Happened One Night was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." It was remade as a 1956 musical comedy, You Can't Run Away from It, starring Jack Lemmon and June Allyson.

While watching the film from Netflix's "watch instantly" feature in full screen mode on my computer, I couldn't help but want to take screen shots of the movie. There were so many visually stunning scenes. I love the simplicity of classic movies. It enables you to really focus on what's really going on in the movie. Anyway, here are some of the screen shots I took:
