2010 has truly been life changing. SO many things have happened! I graduated college, got a new job/CAREER & moved out of my parents house. I now have an excellent job in Santa Ana and live in Fullerton. I LOVE my apartment & I LOVE my job. Life is pretttty good as of late. I really went through a rough patch there for awhile where NOTHING was going right. I had my heart not broken, but SHATTERED, I hated my job (BJ's) and I was just depressed. It's crazy how things can turn around...and I deserve this! I've worked SO hard for EVERYthing I have!
My job is great. It's RIGHT up my alley. The actual job itself was almost tailor made for me..and I LOVE all my co-workers. Such great people!
Living alone is VERY different - not what I'm used to. At first, it was kind of sad - no one to share my day with. BUT, that's what the phone is for. I have my mom and 2 of my best friends who I have been sharing my day with everyday. Living alone isn't for everyone, but anyone who knows me - knows how independent I am. I've always loved being alone. One of my favorite things is crawling into bed at night in my big bed and getting warm...something about knowing I am the only one in the apartment is so cool to me. I can't explain it.
I already have a routine down. I go to bed at 10pm.
Wake up at 6:30am
Turn on the heater.
Take a HOT bath/warm up my body
Turn off the heater.
Get ready for work.
Leave.
Go to work.
Come home.
Repeat.
It may sound boring, but I am happy. I am content.

Tim Kasher
I really can't explain how much I love Tim Kasher and how much his music/words mean to me. I can literally relate to EVERY song of his. I just feel such a connection to him & his music. Anyone who knows me - knows this.
Throughout the years, I have probably seen Cursive, The Good Life and/or him solo close to 20 times (combined) at LEAST! I've been going to see him/his bands since 2003. It's kind of crazy because Tim and I have actually became somewhat of friends. He knows me as being the girl singing every single word to all of his songs in the front row.
Every time I see him, he will go out of his way to come say hi, wave or give me a hug. It seriously makes me feel so amazing. My friend Micaela and I went to see him perform (solo) last night at the Glasshouse Record Store and as soon as he saw me, he greeted me with a hug. Micaela said everyone was staring LOL. I think they thought I was his girlfriend (I wish).
So, he (along with a band) played for about an hour and a half. He said he was going to go next door to have a drink and to join him. So, Micaela and I went over there and met up with some other friends. One of our friends ended up talking to the guy who plays chello for Tims band and Micaela ended up talking to the drummer. Meanwhile, I got to sit at the bar with Tim and talk to him for like an HOUR almost. It was SO AWESOME!!! I got to tell him things I've ALWAYS wanted to tell him & ask him things I've always wanted to ask him. We seriously had the best conversation. I still can't believe that happened. I woke up with the biggest smile.
While we were sitting at the bar, Tim suggested we have a shot. I personally do NOT take shots but.... it's TIM KASHER! ...so I did! I pulled out money to pay and he said "I got it...for coming to all the shows over the years." SO sweet! So, we took our shot of Jameson and continued to talk. We were having the best time!
Then we all went to a pool hall to play pool. Me and the guy who plays trumpet/keyboards for Tims band were on a team and Micaela and the guy who plays drums were on a team. It was seriously THEE best night ever. I never really thought I would ever get to HANG OUT with Tim like that. AND Tim played "Empty Bed" during his set. I was SO excited!!! Ahhhhh...what. an. amazing. night!

Bath
Just had a much needed relaxing bath.
Bath + Bubbles + Candle + Radiohead = SO relaxing!
My neck & head are so sore from the car accident I got into last night. I hit my head pretty hard on the steering wheel. That bath was just what I needed to relax.

GRADUATION
I did it! I finally graduated! It was an amazing weekend...being surrounded by everyone I love :)
Friday (June 18th) - My Grad Party at Jen & Thomas'
- Youssef and I run around trying to break into his storage unit so we could get his DJ equipment, but no luck. He lost his key and the guy at Stoney Creek wouldn't let us in. But, it wouldn't have mattered either way because the power was out at Jens house. We brainstorm and decide on lots of candles and some generators.
So, when Youssef and I show up everyone is hanging out in the front yard. Luckily Bryan Gee is there to pull his car into the driveway and play some jams. After awhile, pretty much the entire front yard was packed with people. Finally some generators show up and we are able to have light in the back yard. So, the party moves back there and Bryan brings his car back there to once again, supply the jams.
I could NOT believe how many people were there. I think there was at least 100 people there. My work friends were there, friends from high school, my Redlands friends, my school friends!, etc. It was such an amazing turnout and with NO drama. The vibe couldn't have been better.
I was ELATED to see so many of my friends. Some I hadn't seen in YEARS like Lauren Easley (made my night). And ZION! So awesome. Thank you guys for coming! I received two amazing cards (from Dave Chadwick & Nolan Walker) AND a Cyndi Lauper vinyl from Bryan Bruce - so sweet of you guys! ...oh and not to mention bud light from Alysia and Monique & Jordan :) I can't even begin to express how happy my heart was that night. I LOVE YOU ALL! <3
Saturday (June 19th) - My family gets to town!
- My Dad, Stepmom, my two brothers (Nolan & Spencer) and my sister (Marlyse) got to town around 2ish. I got ready and we went to an early dinner at Olive Garden. Before dinner, I take Marlyse to Stater Bros. for contact lens juice hahaha. It was so much fun. Then to dinner. I just love my family all so much. Nolan made his "thats what she said" jokes and we had so many good laughs. When we got back to our hotel, Nolan, Marlyse & I had our own room and we just watched an Entourage marathon on HBO and pretty much fell asleep.
Sunday (June 20th) - GRADUATION
- Wake up around 9 and head home to get ready for my big day. I WAS going to go early to meet up with friends at the Rustic, but opted not to. So, I get ready and Jen comes over and we hang in my room while I get ready. Then my family and Jess get to my house, so we take off. I drove my car because my family had some stops to make beforehand. So, me, Jen, Jess & my sister Marlyse drive to graduation in my car. THIS was honestly one of the best times of the whole weekend. It was just so fun having my three favorite girls in my car with me, listening to music, singing and laughing on the way to graduation. It was so much fun.
So, we get there and I head to line up. I run into Christian and Sean luckily and we line up. Before we knew it...we were walking out. THAT part was so surreal to me for some reason. Just hearing the graduation music and walking out in front of that big crowd all cheering for us was insane. The ceremony was so BORING and Christian and I had to go to the bathroom so we got up in the middle of the ceremony and walked out in front of everyone to go to the bathroom. It was kind of silly. Everyone was looking at us, but we did it! Not too much longer after we got to our seat ...we were being called up to go up on stage. Our names were called and we walked the line. It was so amazing. I will never forget it as long as I live. I'm so glad I was able to sit with Christian & Sean too. Love those dudes!
After the ceremony, Christian and I have a celebratory beer at his car. It was official - we were now college graduates! Then , we headed off to meet up with our families :)
I took pictures with everyone. All the combinations we could possibly take, lol. I'm so happy that all the people truly care the most about were there.
Then, we head to BJ's for dinner. My aunt Cathy had it all set up. Balloons, cake, etc. So nice. Dinner was great. James Folmer even came and made the sweetest toast to me that included Ryan <3 I wish he could have been there. But, I know he was looking down on me that day. Dinner was great. I was able to sit between my mom and dad. I think I've only done that a small hand full of times in my life.

Real Talk
NO ONE knows what I've been through in life. NO one. I don't like talking about myself. I don't want pitty. But seriously. I hate you for what you did. You really are heartless. Just like everyone else. I'm sick of you talking shit about me. I know what you did and the kind of person you are...did I tell anyone about it? NO ...because I have something called integrity - something you DON'T! Anyone who knows me knows I have a big heart and knows the REAL me. That's really all that matters. I'm truly happy to have cut the certain people out of my life. I have no room for negativity in my life. It's all love :)
